This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the ICT Model Papers mobile application published by SaylanSoft Solutions. The App is an independent educational practice application designed for students preparing for the Sri Lankan G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) ICT examination. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any government institution.
1. Personal information we do not request
ICT Model Papers does not require a SaylanSoft account or login. Through the App, SaylanSoft does not ask for or directly collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, camera or microphone data, or biometric information.
2. Information stored locally on your device
The App may store information needed for its features in Android local storage. This can include model-paper attempts, scores and progress, app preferences, unfinished-attempt information, and local unlock status. SaylanSoft does not upload this locally stored quiz and preference data to a SaylanSoft server. You can remove local App data by clearing the App's data in Android settings or uninstalling the App.
3. Google Play Billing and purchases
The App may offer a one-time in-app purchase to unlock additional model papers. Payments are processed through Google Play Billing. SaylanSoft does not receive or store your full payment-card number, CVV, or other complete payment credentials. The App receives purchase-status information required to confirm, unlock, and restore the purchase. Information processed by Google in connection with Google Play is governed by Google's own privacy practices.
4. Analytics, advertising and tracking
The current version of ICT Model Papers does not include a third-party advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking SDK operated by SaylanSoft. SaylanSoft does not use the App to build advertising profiles or sell personal data.
5. External links, calls and sharing
Only when you choose the relevant action, the App can open an external service such as the SaylanSoft website, WhatsApp, your phone application, or the Android sharing interface. Information that you choose to send or share through an external service is handled under that service's own privacy policy and terms.
6. Children's privacy
The App is designed for educational use and may be used by school students. SaylanSoft does not knowingly ask children to submit personal information directly through the App. If the App's data practices change in a future version, this policy and the applicable Google Play disclosures will be updated accordingly.
7. Data security and deletion
Because ICT Model Papers does not create a SaylanSoft user account, there is no SaylanSoft server account for the user to delete. Local App information can be removed by clearing the App's data in Android settings or uninstalling the App. Records associated with a Google Play purchase are managed by Google according to Google's applicable policies.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy if the App's features or data practices change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
